Finally, the christmas spirit is picking up in my kitchen. Better late than never…
With christmas around, it’s time for the 4th edition of Menu for Hope! For the 4th time, Pim has come up with a wonderful way of giving a little something to those who really need it, with a little help from food bloggers all around the world.
This year, you can help Pim gather a little bit more than hope for children in Lesotho through the UN world food program: the funds raised will be earmarked for the school lunch program in Lesotho, Africa. This progam is not only providing food for the children, but is also a model of local procurement (buying food locally to support local farmers and the local economy). As much as 87% from the funds raised will go directly to the children.
And that’s not it: enter the Menu for Hope raffle and not only will you help children in need, you’ll also make a chance for yummy prizes from food addicts all around the world!
So, here you go, you’ll have until 21st of December:
1. Have a look at Chez Pim or at one of the generous regional hosts (Fanny from foodbeam is the european host) of this event for the prizes of your dreams.
2. Enter the raffle for only 10$ per ticket: Go to the donation site at http://www.firstgiving.com/menuforhope4 , make a donation and specify which prize you’d like using the prize code of your choice.
3. The results of the raffle will be published at Chez Pim on Wednesday January 9. Who knows, you might even end up at El bulli!
I really wanted to submit a prize myself, but I got short of time… I am investigating if it is still possible at such a late stage. If so, I’ll update this post with a little piece of my culinary holland for you. In the mean time, I’m off getting my tickets for the raffle!
